Create your Perfect Day With A Morning Routine

A morning routine sets the tone for the whole day, and if you do each day right, you’ll do life right.

For the majority of life through childhood and adulthood I conformed to getting up at 7 a.m… but I didn’t really enjoy it. I would get up as late as possible, get breakfast on the go, rush to work, and then feel like I was trying to catch up the rest of the day.

This routine took its toll on my physical and mental well-being and majorly impacted my productivity.

Now, I work from home for myself on my business, and I happily wake up around 7:00 a.m. each day. Even on weekends, I am usually up by 7 a.m. It could be that I’m enjoying the work I’m doing so much and am accountable to only myself; but I think it has more to do with the fact that I’ve learned so much about how creating good habits and a morning routine are critical for lifetime success.

Get High on your OWN Supply

The best —and natural way— to get high

Let’s be honest, today’s world is fueled by drugs, both legal and illegal. We are coffee fiends, in the morning to start the day, Energy drink chuggers and Adderal poppers to stay focused in class or work, and finally unwinding with a joint or drink at the end of our day to sleep. And of course, there’s the saddening opiate crisis and Xanax addiction our world is facing. But as much as these drugs do work, boy do they work! These highs have long-term repurcussions, eventually leading to addiction, health problems or worst of all, death.

Why not get high, not on drugs, but on your OWN supply? Instead of taking a hit of weed or tobacco, or anything else you can inhale, just take a DEEP breath. Here let’s explore how you can high on kite—minus the use of drugs that will have long-term repercussions on your health.

Breathwork 101

Learn how to reclaim your power, feel safe in your body, and process unresolved emotions and belief systems.

Breathing is easy right? I mean it’s something that our bodies do without thinking about it. Yet even though breathing is literally the most important thing we do, most of us aren’t breathing properly. Enter Breathwork.

So what is this modality called Breathwork? Simply put, Breathwork is when we consciously use our breathing to change the way we feel and think, changing our state of being. Anytime we use a technique involving our breath to change our physical, mental or emotional state, that’s Breathwork.

Breaking up with Headspace

I just need some space— no pun intended

Dear Headspace,

It’s time we had a talk. I’ve been doing alot of self-reflecting lately and it’s wild that we’ve been together for so long, but lately I’ve been and I just don’t know if I need you anymore. Ouch, I know that’s harsh. But the more work I do on my own—creating boundaries, releasing trauma, etc—I realize that besides the fact I have to reach for the main source of constant distraction– my PHONE —to talk to you, $95.99 a year is a ton of money for a meditation app.

Why Meditation Apps FAIL

Am I really suppose to find calm in that device that stresses me out the most?

There is something incredibly ironic and paradoxical about using your phone — the biggest cause of distraction in your life— to help us become more mindful and self-aware.

Meditation apps tend to tote the misconceptions that mindfulness meditation is both hard and easy at the same time— and can lead to people becoming disillusioned, discouraged and ultimately giving up on the practice.
